I was stumbling through Isaiah the other day and I came across this verse. I started balling, as God encouraged and confirmed my decision in going to Africa as a disciple of Christ. I used this in my support letter and I wanted to share it with y’all because it’s so comforting and it further reveals the one purpose of our lives: to share Him across all the nations, and in our case, Swaziland.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release darkness for the prisoners.” -Isaiah 61:1
