Baggage Regulations
Many of you have been asking about luggage regulations for travel. For your flight to Swaziland from Atlanta, the regulations are 2 checked bags, not weighing more than 50 pounds each. If you go over the limit, you will be responsible for the excess charges. Please weigh your bags before leaving home and make sure they are not over the limit.
For those who were ticketed later than April 29, there are stiffer regulations. You are allowed only one bag and an extra bag will cost you $50 in each direction. The only one this effects is Mary Grace Rumford (sorry about that).
Also, you need to check with your airline for your domestic flight to Atlanta when you come for training camp. Many airlines only allow 1 bag for their domestic flights. The excess charges can sometimes be a little steep. Those charges are not reimbursable
Not a problem, I only have 1 check bag anyway! Thanks!
Wait, I thought we had to have 2 checked backs- personal and ministry supplies. How are you getting away with only 1?
Amanda I am bringing two bags. The first is for all my personal stuff and the second is for my ministry supplies. Also remember we will probably be getting stuff in Swaziland that we will be wanting to bring back so the second suitcase can be used for that as well.
What about guitars? Is anyone bringing theirs for SURE? If not, I’m gonna go buy one…but how does that work? WOuld it cost like a regular luggage or would I have to carry it on the plane and not have a carry-on? Its so confusing!!! Help?
I know that on the way to Peru when my friend took his guitar for a carry-on he had to have it put in the back, but I think it all depends on the airline policy.
