First of all, I was confused and added the same picture twice – woopsies!

Well, my name is Kelly Rawlings, as I’m sure you’ve all assumed from the title.  I’m 19 years old and I’m not very good at writing biographies because I feel like I’m bragging about everything I like about myself, which is never cool, but I guess I will anyways.
I love Jesus and want to live like he did.  Nothing frustrates me more than the misconception that Christianity is about rules and moral perfection.  The idea that I was created to love and be loved and to extend grace to everyone and love them as Jesus does thrills me.  I’m currently attending a University in Richmond, BC (Canada) for applied Journalism.  I love to write and hope to one day use my writing to make this world a better place for the oppressed and the overlooked.
I love people, though I sometimes feel smothered if I don’t get my alone time.
I enjoy philosophy, economics, politics, theology and history.
I love community and am absolutely ecstatic about any opportunity to meet new people and get to know them and their experiences and to be challenged by them.  My original dream was to be a travelling hippie living out of a backpack and moving from village to village in Africa, and eventually South America, but unfortunately, I don’t think I’d survive very long without some sort of income, so I changed my dream to writing about life in those places and what developed countries such as the States and Canada can do to help them instead of just live with the people in underdeveloped countries.
Thats me (minus my flaws) in a nutshell.
