Mary Grace Rumford
So yes I am on the team not just a random name that showed up on the web page. My name is Mary Grace and I am so excited to be able to be on this team and have this incredible experience this summer.
My home is in Macon, Ga and I have just finished my junior year at Asbury College in Kentucky where I am studying psychology and social work. I love my school and the ability to follow God’s call to work with victims and those who have been marginalized.
I have an incredible family who support me in everyway. I am the youngest with 3 older brothers. They are all married and have given me the 3 best older sisters a girl could ask for. I also have 2 nieces who are the loves of my life. My dad runs a children’s home in Ga that has greatly affected me as I have grown up.
I love to laugh and to try new things. I played lots of sport in high school and love to pretend like I am still athletic! Most of all I love people and the chance to walk along side of them even if it for only a little while. I started going on mission trips in 9th grade where the Lord put an undeniable love in my heart. I have never been on a trip or team like this and am so excited about this adventure. I have no idea what the Lord has up his sleeve but I know it is going to be a great ride no matter what!
Mary Grace we are so proud of you! I know that God is blessing the people of Africa through you and your team. Can’t wait to hear all about your adventures. Your Uganda team member, Lonnie.
Hey! I’m so glad you’re on the team! I can’t wait to meet you in just a few weeks!
Hi!!! I’m so excited to finally find out some more about you! Welcome to the team….we’re excited to have you! its so true, we’ve got NO idea what God’s going to do with all of us in Swazi, but I know, NO DOUBT in my mind, He’s going to do some great stuff! I can’t wait!
Talk to you soon! Good luck catching up on the facebook thread 🙂
Yay!! Glad you’re on the team! And you’re not far from me… I’m from Ball Ground, which you most likely have never heard of, but I’m about an hour north of Atlanta. So I’m guessing around 3 hours from you!
Mary Grace we are praying for you to have the safest and blessed time in your young life. God be with you and all your team and especially the people you are helping. Times might get tough but keep up the attitude of the Home and all will be well.
God Bless,
David and Kay Green
I was sent a Swaziland newsletter with an article you wrote about a Swazi hut that caught on fire. May I use it on my blog? I am a former missionary to Swaziland and actively support AIM’s ministry there. I do all I can to keep folks back here in America reminded of the need to pray, give, and go!
WOW!!!! one more! Bless you dear sister! i’m so glad you’re going to be serving in the kingdom of Swaziland with us!!!!
Mary Grace, we can’t wait to hear all about your trip. Jimmy, Jim and Gina send their love and know that we are praying for you every day!
love,

What a blessing to see you living out your heart’s desire, placed there by God. I loved growing up in India and seeing the wider world in which God has placed us.
On another note, we are excited about honoring your dad for 25 years of service to the Methodist Home. He is THE MAN!
Abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
Your friends in Christ,
Bob and Betty
